I think MLK was so effective because he balanced idealism with pragmatism. He captured the public’s imagination with lofty aims, yet focused his energy on small changes. I think it’s beautiful that our most celebrated social activist began by targeting the policy of a single city’s bus system. He changed the world by focusing on the problems in front of his face. 

On this MLK Day, let’s remember to think big. 

And keep our feet on the ground.

My life is just so hectic. I miss theater. I admit it, i am a total thespian. I’m relying on one audition this spring to satisfy my summer needs. If i don’t receive a role i will be heart broken. Im so stuck on my future too. I feel like part of me wants to make it big and be a big star, because inside i was meant to be one. But then there’s a softer side in me that just wants me to do theater because im so happy doing it. Ugh.
